Chocolate Wine Truffles
  1. 1/4 cup Sue BeeĀ® Honey
  2. 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  3. 2 1/2 cups finely crushed vanilla wafers
  4. 2 cups ground walnuts
  5. 1/3 cup sweet red wine
  6. Granulated sugar
  1. Heat the chocolate chips and Sue Bee Honey in a 3 qt saucepan on low heat; stir constantly until chocolate is melted.
  2. Remove from the heat.
  3. Stir in wafers, nuts and wine.
  4. Shape mixture into 1 inch balls and roll in sugar.
  5. Store truffles in tightly covered cookie jar or metal can.
  6. Let stand for several days to blend the flavors.
  7. Flavor improves with age up to 4 weeks.
  8. Mix all ingredients except sugar.
  9. Continue to shape balls and roll in sugar.
