Ginger Scented Pecans
  1. 2 tablespoons Sue Bee® Honey
  2. 5 cups pecan halves
  3. 1/2 cup sugar
  4. 2 teaspoons salt
  5. 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  6. 2 tablespoons water
  7. 2 teaspoons canola oil
  1. Preheat the oven to 325 F.
  2. Place nuts in a single layer on two rimmed baking sheets.
  3. Toast until nuts are fragrant, 10 to 15 minutes, rotating the pans halfway through cooking.
  4. Meanwhile, combine sugar, salt, and ginger in a small bowl; set aside.
  5. Combine Sue Bee Honey, water and oil in a large saucepan; bring to a boil over high heat.
  6. Reduce the heat to medium; add roasted pecans.
  7. Cook, stirring once or twice, until all of the liquid has evaporated – 3 to 5 minutes.
  8. Transfer the mixture to a bowl, add sugar mixture, and toss until well combined.
  9. Spread nuts in a single layer on a sheet of parchment or wax paper to cool.
  1. These pecans may be kept in an airtight container at room temperature for 1 week.
