Milk and Honey Bread
  1. 1/3 cup Sue BeeĀ® Honey
  2. 1 package active dry yeast
  3. 2 1/2 cups warm milk
  4. 1/4 cup butter
  5. 2 teaspoons salt
  6. 8 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  1. In a large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk.
  2. Add Sue Bee Honey, butter, salt and 5 cups flour; beat until smooth.
  3. Add enough remaining flour to form a soft dough.
  4. Turn onto a floured board; knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes.
  5. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease top.
  6. Cover& let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
  7. Punch dough down and shape into two loaves.
  8. Place in greased 9"x 5"x 3" loaf pans.
  9. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 30 minute Bake at 375 F for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Cover with foil if necessary to prevent over-browning.
  11. Remove from pans and cool on wire racks.
