Cherry Kolaches
Ingredients
1 cup evaporated milk
5 cups flour
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 pkgs. dry yeast
1 cup water
1 egg
2 egg yolks
2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup Sue Bee Honey
1 can cherry pie filling
Directions
  1. Mix milk, honey, salt and eggs together.
  2. Stir in water.
  3. Add yeast, oil and flour.
  4. Dough will be sticky.
  5. Cover and let rise 1/2 hour, then stir down.
  6. Let rise until double in size.
  7. Butter hands and place walnut-size balls of dough on greased cookie sheet, brush with butter and let rise until double.
  8. Indent center of each ball and add tablespoon of pie filling.
  9. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes or until brown.
  10. Drizzle with frosting if desired.
