It wouldn’t be the holiday season without gingerbread cookies … so bake a few batches of our Honey Gingerbread Cookies and gather the family around to help decorate! 

Honey Gingerbread Cookies
For the cookies
  1. 6 tablespoons Sue BeeĀ® Honey
  2. 1/2 cup softened butter
  3. 1/4 cup molasses
  4. 2 cups unbleached flour
  5. 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  6. 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  7. 1 1/2 teaspoons ginger
For the frosting
  1. 1/3 cup Sue BeeĀ® Honey
  2. 1 package of cream cheese
  3. 1/4 cup softened butter
  4. 3-4 cups powdered sugar
For the cookies
  1. Combine butter, honey and molasses in a bowl. Add dry ingredients until a dough is formed.
  2. Let dough chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
  3. Divide in half and knead each ball gently, as dough will still be soft and buttery.
  4. Roll each ball to a thickness of 1/4 inch on a lightly floured board and cut dough with a cookie cutter.
  5. Place shapes on a greased cookie sheet and bake at 375 F for 5 to 7 minutes. Watch carefully since they burn easily.
For the frosting
  1. Mix all ingredients until well-combined.
  2. Place into piping bag with a small tip and frost cookies. Serve and enjoy!
